I love it with the light background and I love the yellow. It does look sour and sweet at the same time. :) Your paintings are making me hungry...first the chocolate now the lemon...two of my favourite ice cream flavours.

Karen, this is so funny, I was just thinking about how I love your paintings and lo and behold one shows up in my in box.
What a terrific post with all the other photos included.
The painting itself is wonderful.

How cool! You know, I'm comparing this image to your previous paintings with golden ribbons. This one definitely reads "lemon" not gold. Those cool green/yellows make me think sour!

I like the creative layout of this post too!

Hi Fay, thank you so much! It was really fun to assemble these photos for this post. Thank you so much for the compliments on the painting too!

Hey Silvina! thank you for your observation! Yes, with the blue background start I had, the painting felt more like a flower and a similar feel to some of my other yellow bow paitnings and I was reallllly craving a lemon drop feel, or should that be taste :)

Hey Kate! Thank you for the compliments on the post and painting! Your posts are always an inspiration for me to show more process and inspiration. :)
