Painting in Progress

Form or Color?  Which is more important - this is the question that's always in my head.  I love both.  I LOVE form.  I love seeing the volume and weight of an object in a painting.  But color ..... ah .... how I ADORE color.  Color feels alive to me.

One part seeing, one part feeling, hard to choose.  Both are magic.

So true - I'm glad we have both. Color often supports form.

Yes, both ARE magic, and play off one another.

I love what I am seeing here!
Color does it for me- doesn't matter what it is- but that's what gets my attention when I look around. Ironic 'cause I have such trouble translating what I see to a painting. You on the other hand, have it under control.

Hi Karen-
thank you for your comments. I have been coming here for a couple of weeks (I think it's been a couple of weeks- lol - time slips away from me sometimes)and I always find something that triggers a thought, or a tip that helps me in my frustration with painting!
I hope it was ok that I talked about you in one of those posts of mine- I am not sure yet what is rude, or simply not done.
Thanks again- oh- and I would love to put you on my side bar (is that what it is called?) as a favorite site of mine-
Take care-
jenny

Hi Supplies Overflowing/Jenny, Thank you so much for your comments! I really enjoyed checking out your blog, and of course I am completely flattered and happy to see my name appear there. :) Your paintings are excellent, and I can't wait to see what you decide to paint next! Thank you Jenny!
