Progress report

I'm making small steps of progress on my painting, nothing helps the creative juices like an inspiring art trip..... or getting out the really big brushes. I was getting to a desperate stage in the painting, either I needed to make progress or give up. If I don't finish soon, Spring will be here and all my snow and cloud inspiration will be melted away!

It's already beautiful! I love the reduced palette, the nearly monochrome use (or better impression)of whites. LOVE it!!

Thank you Sande! Hope you have a great weekend too!

I'm still trying not to give up :) Thank you Debi for the encouragement!! I need it.

Thank you Liza, for some reason this has been hard for me because of the palette I think. I always try to make the bows have an inner glow, and finding just the right colors to achieve this in subtle colors has been tricky. Thanks so much!!

I like how it's progressing. Interesting use of linear elements in this one.

Thank you Joanne!! Yes the stronger lines, especially from the wired ribbon, are adding a different quality to the painting, especially because the image is so much larger than life. Thanks for commenting!

Karen, how is it going with this piece? It already looks so elegant in these cool off-whites.
