This is a new approach to my 'present' painting series I've been working on the last several years. This painting is one of eventually four in which I have cropped in close on the bow. I loved working with all the variations of blue and was inspired by the lake here in Chicago.

I LOVE this!!! All of your paintings are just lovely, but this one draws me especially. You commented on my blog today saying that you view color as a jigsaw puzzle - one color next to another and you just figure out how to fit them together. I just said that to my husband today! How weird. I'll be visiting your blog often.
